Q: What is the breakdown of the results?
Within the cohort of 6 students, 5 scored Grade 1. 3 of them improved by at least 3 grades! SUPERB performance!!
Q: How did the students achieve their desired grades?
The students put in effort in both their classwork and homework to ensure that the work was done to the best of their abilities. Most of them brought questions to clarify with the tutor so that they could clear their doubts and prepare better for the WA1 with more confidence.
Q: What did the tutors do to help the students in this subject?
The tutor would consistently test every student regardless of their ability to assess if they had remembered the important formulas, methods and the steps properly. The tutor would go the extra mile to incorporate additional examples during the lesson to help students understand ‘why’ certain methods were more effective than others or to make the questions more relatable to them. Additional questions based on the important fundamentals and formulas were frequently assigned to the students to build up their consistency on the basics of Math. Furthermore, the tutor always emphasised the importance of early and effective preparations for the N level so that the students were more motivated to make good use of their time for productive revision.
Q: What changes were observed in the students over the course of study?
For some students who were initially not confident in themselves, they gradually became better in their Math fundamentals through repeated testing over time. From being unsure and hesitant in their response, they slowly and gradually gained confidence in their abilities to manage the basic questions which in turn allowed them to see their potential in pushing up their performance. As a result, they became more focused and participated more during the lessons as well.
Q: How is Einstein Education Hub different from other centres?
We work closely with the students to target the relevant areas of concern in both the Achievers’ class and the Focus class. Lessons at Einstein are conducted in an interactive manner whereby the students will participate actively through answering of verbal questions, identification of errors and explanation of critical steps which strengthens their understanding of how to use the methods and how the methods work.
