Q: What is the breakdown of the results?

Within the cohort of 4 students, 3 scored A1, out of which 2 of them improved by at least 2 grades. WOW WOW WOW!!

Q: How did the students achieve their desired grades?

They spent time to do a complete revision on the topics to be tested. They started their revision at least 1 month before the WA. They put in serious efforts in both the classwork as well as the homework. They would not hesitate to bring questions to clarify with the tutor and that they were fully aware that they had the responsibility to perform well in the WA.

Q: What did the tutors do to help the students in this subject?

The Math tutor made specific emphasis on the important steps within the methods to ensure that the students did not miss them out every time they use them to solve the questions. A lot of testing in terms of the formulas and the explanations of the important steps are done together with the students every lesson to build up their consistency and strengthen their know-hows and capabilities in doing the Math questions.

Q: What changes were observed in the students over the course of study?

They could understand much better how the methods worked and how to use them to solve the questions due to the frequent testing by the tutor. Hence, they were able to analyse the questions more and solve them because they knew what methods to use. They also showed more consistency in their work by writing out the answers step-by-step every time they did the questions both in class and homework.
