Q: What results did you get for A Math in the EOY exam this year?
I prepared thoroughly for the A Math EOY exam and came out top in my class with a Grade 2.
Q: What did you do in your preparation for the A Math EOY exam this time round?
I ensured that I reviewed the tuition materials and the school notes thoroughly and consistently before I sat for my exam. I would study in detail the proper methods to solve the various types of questions within the topics, paying extra attention to the correct steps required to solve the common exam-based questions.
I also did a lot of school exam papers to gain more exposure and check that I was able to apply the methods properly and correctly. Furthermore, I could identify if there was any topic that I was unsure about, revised the topic again and cleared whatever misconception I had from doing the questions in the exam papers.
Q: What did the tutor in the Achievers’ class do to help you in this subject?
Running up to my EOY exam, the A Math tutor gave me additional questions on a consistent basis to help me revise. This allowed me to clarify my doubts and misunderstandings regarding the topics tested in the exam.
I found the tutor’s explanation to be clear and detailed, and he even helped to highlight any potential mistakes I could have made for my EOY exam. I took the advice seriously and put it to good use during the exam.
Q: What is your target for A Math in the N level exam next year? What will you do to achieve it?
My target for A Math will be Grade 1 since I am planning to use it to compute the aggregate score for my EMB3.
I will continue to work hard, pay close attention to the A Math lessons in both school and tuition. I will step up my revision and bring questions to clarify with the tutor whenever I am in doubt.
